CONSTABLE KHANG IN MYSTERY OF THE KAMAGATA MARU!

In the winter of 1924 the Japanese steamer the Kamagata Maru loaded down with a multi-million dollar cargo of high grade opium began its fateful voyage from Constantinople to Shanghai where the Middle-Eastern syndicate that planned on turning their investment of a small fortune into a large one awaited. The ship never made it to Shanghai and the syndicate never saw the opium. In a story reaching back to the days before Constable Khang joined the Shanghai Public Security Bureau the "Mystery of the Kamagata Maru" tells the story of Khang's earliest encounter with the opium trade and his fateful encounter on that ship with something potentially much worse. This is the story of the sole survivor of the notorious Kamagata Maru incident and his emergence as Constable Khang.
